Lower Saranac Lake

St. Regis Canoe Outfitters

This full day trip is one of our most popular trips from our location, and with good reason. Although not a wilderness trip, this trip has some of the most spectacular scenery in the area. We start at the state boat launch on Second Pond part of the Saranac River and paddle a short distance to island-studded Lower Saranac Lake. We stop at Bluff Island and hike the short distance to the top of the Bluff for the great views. We then paddle in and out of the islands and stop for lunch before paddling into Fish Creek which is a great place to see wildlife. We have the option of viewing Knollwood Great Camp, which was owned by the Marshall's, Guggenheim's and others. We end our trip at Ampersand Bay. Your choice of boat from our rental fleet and all transportation are included in the price.
