Saranac River Base
- We are on the Saranac River in Downtown Saranac Lake
- A part of the 740 mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail
The Saranac River Base includes a year-round 5000 square foot paddlesports shop and our rental shop. Our front door is only 70 feet from the river with our own private launch. Free demos are always available and you are encouraged to "try before you buy". We provide a special for the Saranac Islands Campground of delivery and pick-up of boats, people, and gear to and from the campground headquarters. Numerous day trips and extended camping trips are available from our door. Many consider the three to four day trip connecting our two bases to be the premier Adirondack Canoe Camping trip.
Our downtown store is powered by Clean Energy from National Grid Renewables. We recycle paper, plastic and glass. We use recycled paper products in our bathrooms. We believe in giving back to the environment.
**A note on The Floodwood Outpost**
The Floodwood Outpost is no longer part of St. Regis Canoe Outfitters, but is open seasonally as a General Store Thursday through Sunday selling Outdoor Gear, Maps & Books, Food & Drinks, and other last minute items for outdoor recreation. THEY DO NOT RENT CANOES.
