Seasonal Trips

St. Regis Canoe Outfitters

We are excited to offer specialized seasonal trips during the shoulder seasons, which includes a 4-5 hour paddle to on small ponds or rivers that offer the best selection of nature.  Be sure to bring your camera.

In the spring we offer  trips to places with a large selection of wild flowers.   The forest and the waters are alive with an abundance of wildflowers including Hobblebush, Lady's Slipper,  Trillium, Indian Pipe, Jack in the Pulpit, Trout Lily, wild orchids, and dozens of other flowers.  The bog area can be a great area to explore wildflowers with Pitcher Plants,  Roundleaf Sundew, Little Club-spur Orchid, White Fringed Orchid, and others.  It is always so amazing to witness the first flowers in bloom after a long cold winter.

When the days begin to shorten in the fall we take people out on sunset tours.  Sunsets on the water feel so expansive.  The colors can be a vibrant mix of pinks, yellows, and oranges.

We also offer guided fall foliage trips to the most scenic areas.  The Adirondacks has an abundance of maple trees including striped, red, sugar; as well as  paper, yellow, and gray birch; yellow-poplar; quaking and bigtooth aspen, and white ash.  Colors can be vibrant with a combination of orange, red, purple, and yellow. The contrast of the dark evergreen trees can be spectacular.  Eastern larch or tamarack is probably the last tree species to turn color (golden yellow).
