Lake Placid is a beautiful lake with stunning views of Whiteface Mountain and the Mckenzie Mountain Range. Surrounding the first part of the lake are historic Adirondack camps, as well as stunning rock cliffs. Moose Island & Buck Island, as well as the surrounding land on the later half of the lake are state owned with nice campsites. There are great opportunities for swimming from the campsites. This makes a great overnight camping trip allowing you time to explore the lake. Kayaks are ideal for this trip because of the open water and waves.
Your guide will provide tips for paddling, portaging and camp setup as well as providing amazing food. Transport returning to our Saranac Lake Base at the end of the trip is included.
Cost per person includes your choice of boat from our rental fleet, as well as the guide, camping gear, food and transportation from our Base.
Trip is arranged at your request with minimum of four people. We recommend at least a month's advance reservation for all guided trips.
