Saranac Lake Islands Campground near our Saranac Lake Base, is boat only access & includes 2 lakes: Middle & Lower Saranac Lakes. If you are paddling from our Floodwood Base to Saranac Lake, you must reserve your site(s) in this campground at least 48 hrs before departure. Reservations for State campground may be made at 1-800-456-CAMP or online at http://www.reserveamerica.com, and go to NY State and then the campground name.
* Additionally, you must check in at the campground headquarters at State Bridge on US Rt. 3 prior to departure from our Floodwood Base. After Labor Day and before May 15th this campground is open to public use at no charge. Regular backcountry regulations apply.
